Last week during Art Basel Miami, Girard-Perregaux hosted an international group of retailers and journalists for the launch of the Hawk collection. The new collection consists of three Sea Hawk timepieces, including the limited edition FOReverglades model, and the all new Chrono Hawk collection. Girard-Perregaux partnered with FOReverglades, an environmentally friendly public art exhibition by international artist William Sweetlove, and artist collective, Cracking Art Group, for Art Week Miami.

On December 5th GP brand unveiled a limited edition timepiece inspired by FOReverglades for Art Week. “We are very proud to unveil this special watch”, said Michele Sofisti, CEO of Sowind (Girard-Perregaux and JEANRICHARD) after presenting Miami-Dade College President Mr. Eduardo Padrón with a FOreverglades watch in honor of his constant support of the arts and education.”The importance of preserving our environment is beautifully represented in FOReverglades and we hope that together we are able to spread the message further and increase public awareness”.
That same night, a large group of Girard-Perregaux guests attended a champagne toast and private tour of the exhibit by William Sweetlove at the Freedom tower, followed by an exclusive dinner at the Tuyo restaurant.
“The introduction of this timepiece is also of particular significance for the brand as it unveils their new Hawk collection, a sport line including both diver watches and chronographs. The FOReverglades timepiece features a steel case housing a Girard-Perregaux Manufacture mechanical with automatic winding movement. The strap is done in white with the red crocodiles from FOReverglades prominently featured.”
The final night in Miami, Girard-Perregaux threw an extravagant dinner party at the Mandarin Oriental Miami. Look for our Hands-On review of the new Hawk collection next week.
