Introducing the Omega Seamaster 300 “Spectre” Limited Edition

Daniel Craig will wear the Omega Seamaster 300 “Spectre” Limited Edition in the next James Bond film SPECTRE that comes out November 6th, 2015. And yes, you will be able to buy the exact watch that he wears in the movie. It will be available in a 7007-piece limited edition starting in September.

The Omega Seamaster 300 Spectre comes in the same 41 mm diameter case and has the same caliber 8400 Master Co-Axial movement. What is different is the 0-60 dive scale has been replaced with a 0-12 scale on the ceramic bezel, which some commenters have rumored was done as part of the plot of the movie. I guess we will have to wait to see if that holds true. In addition, the Arabic numeral at 12 has been removed and the Omega logo has been moved up in place of it. And instead of a leather strap or stainless steel bracelet, this edition comes with a black and grey NATO strap, similar to the strap Sean Conner wore on his Rolex in Dr No, the first James Bond film. Such a great choice by Omega going with the NATO. Finally, the seconds hand has a lollipop tip as seen on the some early vintage Seamasters.

Personally, I am not a fan of the standard production vintage-inspired Seamaster 300. This, however, in my opinion is a much better execution of essentially the same watch. In the finicky world of watch collecting, little details make a huge difference.
