According to Porsche Design, the Chronotimer Series 1 was developed entirely by Porsche Design Timepieces AG, based in Solothurn (Switzerland), and was also manufactured in Switzerland. It is based on the Chronograph I timepiece from 1972 and the Titanium Chronograph from 1980. (Editor’s note: the movement was not developed by Porsche Design, it is an ETA Valjoux 7750 chronograph, the same caliber used in the Chronograph I from 1972.)
