Unveiled at Baselworld, the Zenith Doublematic Pilot is an all new El Primero equipped timepiece. It not only boasts a chronograph (like the majority of El Primeo timepieces), it also has a 24 city worldtimer and a mechanical alarm.

The Doublematic Pilot caliber 4046 is an El Primero in-house movement with world time and alarm functions. It includes double power barrels, one dedicated to powering the alarm and the other powering all other functions. The hand decorated self-winding movement consists of 439 parts, 41 jewels, a frequency of 36,000 vph (5Hz) and a 50-hour power reserve. Functions include hours, minutes, seconds, alarm, 24 time zone worldtimer, chronograph, big date and alarm power reserve.

Housed inside a stainless steel or 18k gold case, the Doublematic measures 45 mm in diameter. The bezel features a day/night indicator as well as a list of 24 cities for adjusting to the correct time zone. A special power reserve subdial at 7 o’clock indicates how much power is remaining in the alarm’s mainspring; it also displays if the alarm is set to “on or off.”
Comes on a black hand-stitched alligator leather strap. Water-resistance is 30 meters.

This timepiece represents a nice utilization of the famous El Primero caliber, without being just another Zenith chronograph. Moreover, the additional world time and alarm functionality are highly useful, and the vintage inspired styling should appeal to consumers who favor classic timepieces. (Ref. 03.2400.4046/21.C721)
