1960s IWC at Antiquorum


We’ve found a nice 1960s IWC automatic timepiece with low pre-auction estimates, to be sold without reserve at the October 19, 2012 Antiquorum auction in Hong Kong.

There is no name listed for this particular model, however we do know it is a self-winding time only wristwatch made in the early 1960s. It is housed in a polished and brushed 35 mm by 11 mm stainless steel case, with a brushed silver dial with steel baton indexes, outer dot minute divisions and silver dauphine hands. It is powered by caliber 853, which is rhodium plated, has 21 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock absorber, self compensating blued Breguet balance spring, swan neck regulator. Dial, case and movement signed.
