Breitling Chronospace Military

Breitling recently announced a new military-inspired black-steel, analog-digital timepiece called the Chronospace Military. It has a unique display which features a dual digital readout and traditional analog hour, minute and second hands, along with traditional applied hour indexes. Beige colored luminous treatment on the hands and hour markers ensure the analog readout is visible regardless of the lighting conditions.

The dual digital LCD backlit displays feature an array of useful functions, accessible by pushing the crown, or chronograph pushers, including: 12/24 times, alarm, countdown timer max, 2nd timezone with independant alarm, calendar digital (with perpetual correction), UTC universal time and 1/100th of a second chronograph (with split times).

The Chronospace Miliary is powered by Breitling’s proprietary caliber 78, which is an ultra-accurate COSC chronometer-certified thermocompensated SuperQuartz™ movement.

The case measures 46 mm by 15.60 mm, and is in a matt black steel, with a rotating bi-directional compass bezel. The dial is protected by sapphire crystal that is cambered and has anti-glare treatment on both sides. The caseback is solid.

The crown is on screw-locked, with two gaskets, and an integrated push piece to control digital functions. Water-resistance is 50 meters. Weight is 107.90 grams. Comes with a military or ocean classic strap.
