Introducing the Grande Reverso 1931 Seconde Centrale

Inspired by a historical Reverso timepiece, Jaeger-LeCoultre introduces the Grande Reverso 1931 Seconde Centrale.

This contemporary version of the Second Centrale is powered by a modern automatic movement, yet its dial is virtually identical to the historic model. From the hands to the center seconds dial, everything is the same. Even the luminescent material has been reproduced in a color shade similar to a watch with patina.

Presented in white gold, the case measures 46.8 mm x 27.4 mm, with a thickness of 9.20 mm. It is thicker than the Reverso Tribute to 1931 that was released in 2010 because it has an automatic movement. However, the case dimensions are otherwise the same as that model.

Underneath the hood is Jaeger-Lecoultre’s caliber 966A that beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour and has a 38-hour power reserve, wound by an automatic winding rotor. The movement consists of 194 components, including 28 jewels, and has 1 barrel.

A push-in crown controls the functions: hours, minutes and center seconds (and a stop-seconds function). The black opaline dial features powdered numerals and hour markers, coupled with sword-shaped hour and minute hands, along with a baton-shaped center seconds hand.

Each Grande Reverso 1931 Seconde Centrale timepiece is paired with a black alligator leather strap and 18 mm white gold pin buckle (Ref. 381357J). Water-resistance is 30 meters. This is a boutique exclusive and will retail for $20,100.
