This past week IWC unveiled two new Dual Time watches within the Ingenieur line. The Ingenieur Dual Time comes in a 43 mm by 13.5 mm stainless steel case, and is available with either a silver-plated or black dial.

The current local time is shown by the hour, minute and seconds hands (red-tipped). Home time is indicated by a 2nd hour hand with an arrowhead tip. The 24-hour hand points to the current hour. The 24-hour ring is shaded to easily distinguished between day/night.

Time can be advanced or turned back in one-hour steps via the crown. The date display has a rapid advance feature that makes it easier to change time zones without waiting for the date to change.

The Ingenieur Dual Time is animated by self-winding caliber 35720, which oscillates at 4Hz. The movement has 27 jewels and a 42-hour power reserve.

The hours are marked on the dial with applied indexes, and applied Arabic numerals for 12 and 6. The skeletonized hour and minute hands feature white luminous material. The date is displayed at 3 o’clock.

The fixed steel bezel has the signature Ingenieur design with five bores. The dial is protected by a flat sapphire with anti-reflective coating on both sides. The crown is screw-in and water-resistance is 120 meters. The bracelet is stainless steel with a folding clasp and is integrated directly into the case. (Ref. IW324402 – black, IW324404 – silver)
