IWC Portofino Hand-Wound Monopusher

At the Watches & Wonders which starts September 30th, 2015 in Hong Kong, IWC will officially unveil a pair of single-pusher chronographs. Available in either red gold (with white dial) or white gold (with gray-brown dial), the IWC Portofino Hand-Wound Monopusher cases are fully polished and measure 45 mm by 13 mm.

IWC in-house caliber 59360 powers the watch functions which include hours and minutes via gold leaf-shaped hands, date display at 3 o’clock, power reserve at 9 o’clock, small seconds at 6 o’clock, 60-minute counter at 12 o’clock and central chronograph seconds. Applied gold indexes mark each hour with the exception of 12, 3 and 6 o’clock.

The 36 jewel manually wound movement runs at 4Hz, has a power reserve of 8 days (192-hours), and features a screwed balance. The main plated is decorated with circular graining and the bridges are finished with bevelled edges and Geneva stripes.

There is a arched edge sapphire crystal protecting the dial and a sapphire caseback allowing a view into the movement. The red gold version comes on a brown alligator leather strap with matching pin buckle and the white gold version comes with a gray strap. (Ref. IW515103 – white gold, IW515104 – red gold)
