Jaeger-LeCoultre Grande Reverso Ultra Thin 1948

On Monday, Jaeger-LeCoultre unveiled a new boutique exclusive limited edition Reverso — the Grande Reverso Ultra Thin 1948. As an homage to 1948, the designers inscribed “Fabriqué en Suisse” (made in Switzerland) on the dial, just above the Jaeger-LeCoultre signature.

The Grande Reverso Ultra Thin is presented in a sleek 46.8 mm by 27.4 mm by 7.2 mm stainless steel case. There are sapphire crystals front and back and the case has a polished finish.

The dial is silver-grained and has blue stamped hour markers that match the blue facetted baton-type hands. Functions include hours, minutes and small seconds. Inside, is caliber 822/2, a manually wound manufacture movement that is a mere 2.94 mm thick. It beats at 3Hz, has 114 total components, 19 jewels and a 45-hour power reserve.

The caseback is inscribed with “1000 Hours Control,” which refers to the industry leading 1000 hours of testing that each Jaeger-LeCoultre timepiece goes through before being delivered for sale.
