Jean-Claude Biver takes over as interim CEO of TAG Heuer

After a strange year at TAG Heuer, where the LVMH owned brand introduced an impressive new vertical clutch equipped chronograph movement initially called the caliber 1969. They then changed it to the CH80 during Baselworld. And shortly thereafter, the CH80 powered Carrera was tentatively cancelled. And now, with the abrupt exit of TAG Heuer CEO, Stéphane Linder, it is really not that surprising when you look at everything else that has happened at the brand this calendar year.

According to TAG Heuer, as of today, “Stéphane Linder has decided today to resign from his role of President & CEO of TAG Heuer to pursue other professional endeavors. Jean-Claude Biver thanks Stéphane for his outstanding contribution to the development of the brand during the 21 years he spent at TAG Heuer. Jean-Claude Biver will act as a CEO during this transition period.”
