To promote the launch of the Shelby Cobra II limited editions, Baume & Mercier hosted an exclusive dinner party last week at the Classic Car Club of Manhattan. At the event, one of Shelby American’s original employees and team driver on the 1965 World Championship team, Allen Grant, who was a lifelong friend of Carroll Shelby, spoke with guests throughout the night.

Two authentic Shelby Cobras were on display, alongside the two new Cobra II limited editions. The Capeland Shelby Cobra 1963, comes with a leather strap, and the Capeland Shelby Cobra 1963 Competition comes with a rubber strap and has ADLC treated black case flanks.
