The Oris Aquis Depth Gauge

At Baselworld Oris launched a new professional diver’s watch, the Aquis Depth Gauge. Not only does it have a rating of 500 meters, it also has a very cool mechanical depth gauge. A display around the outer chapter ring of the dial shows your depth in meters. It works by allowing a small amount of water to enter through a hole near 12 o’clock, this is used to calculate the pressure and volume which then activates the depth gauge display.

The Oris Aquis Depth Gauge comes in 46 mm stainless steel case with a ceramic dive bezel. A domed sapphire crystal with double anti-reflective coating protects the dial. The caseback is in stainless steel and features a meters to feet conversion table.

The Aquis Depth Gauge is powered by an Oris Caliber 733 based on Sellita SW-200-1. It features a bi-directional red rotor. It has 26 jewels, beats a 4Hz and has a 38-hour power reserve.

The dial is black with Superluminova BG W9 indices and hands. The strap has a special easy to adjust clasp on a rubber strap. The Aquis is presented in a waterproof presentation box set with additional rubber strap and changing tool.
