To highlight the recently launched Tissot T-Race Nicky Hayden Limited Edition 2013 watch, Tissot invited us to the brand new Austin, Texas Circuit of the Americas race track to watch the first annual MotoGP US Grand Prix motorcycle race. During our stay, we met with Tissot brand ambassador — 2006 MotoGP World Champion and Ducati team rider — Nicky Hayden.

The Tissot T-Race Nicky Hayden Limited Edition 2013 comes in a 45.3 mm by 12.67 mm stainless steel case, with some parts coated in PVD. The dial is white with black and red markings and Nicky Hayden’s star emblem at the top at 12 o’clock. The black rotating bezel allows the wearer to keep track of a second time zone. Inside is a quartz ETA G10.211 movement which powers the hours, minutes, seconds, date and chronograph functions. The strap, which as I mentioned above Nicky Hayden helped to design, is in red and white silicone which pays homage to Ducati racing. The strap can be easily replaced by removing the hex screws which secure it to the lugs. It uses a stainless steel folding clasp with push buttons. A sapphire crystal protects the dial. The case back is solid and features Hayden’s number “69.” Each limited edition timepiece is presented in a special helmet box, recalling its essential elements such as the colors, stars and his race number 69.
