Two Patek Philippe Minute Repeaters in “exceptional condition” will be auctioned at Antiquorum later this month in Hong Kong. One is Patek Philippe Ref. 3939: a tourbillon minute repeater in pink gold. The other is Patek Philippe Ref. 5104P: a skeletonized minute repeater with perpetual calendar, moon phases and retrograde date in platinum.
Patek Philippe Ref. 3939HR is powered by caliber RTO 27 PS, which is rhodium plated with Geneva stripes, 28 jewels, a lateral lever escapement with one-minute tourbillon regulator with 3 equidistant steel arms under a polished steel bridge, Gyromax balance adjusted in 5 positions, shock absorber, self-compensating free sprung Breguet balance spring.
The dial is light bronze with applied 18K pink gold Breguet numerals, with 12 o’clock and subsidiary seconds hand in red. Pink gold Breguet hands. Sapphire crystals front and back. 18K pink gold case measures 34 mm by 12 mm. Repeating gongs activate by slide on case band. Estimate $600-$800K

The dial is skeletonized with subsidiary transparent sapphire crystal discs for the days of the week, the months, the leap year and the moon phases; with an outer blue ring with sector for the retrograde date. Skeletonized navy blue hands, red half-moon for the retrograde date. Platinum case measuring 43 mm by 12 mm. Sides decorated with pink gold sections. Sapphire crystals front and back.
