We particularly enjoy it if we are able to purchase a gorgeous Panerai watch for our shop. Panerai was a top military secret for decades and did not surface until the early 1990’s. Let’s take a look into the brand where Italian styling is backed up using Swiss-made movements. During this time the Panerai watch cases were designed and made by Rolex watches SA and moves were made by Swiss manufacturer Cortébert.The Florence-based watchmaker produced wrist-worn diving instruments and, between 1938 and 1970, delivered around 1600 watches. Two models, today identified as the”little Egiziano” and also the”large Egiziano”, were produced for the Egyptian Navy. But by 1970, the business ceased offering watches into the Marina Militare, and in 1993 it afterward moved to launch its products to the civilian industry. Many celebrities at this time were regularly spotted wearing a one after Panerai enthusiast and spontaneous brand ambassador, Sylvester Stallone purchased a Panerai Luminor in a jeweller’s store in Rome in 1995 to wear during shooting of the film Daylight.
